Although I have traveled extensively throughout the United States, my heart and soul belong to Africa. The people, sights, smells, sounds, sunrises, sunsets, landscapes, animals and birds bring so much joy to my heart, my whole life has changed. From my very first trip in1993 to South Africa and Zimbabwe to my last trip to South Africa and Namibia, every time I return home I can't wait to start planning my next trip. Besides receiving numerous awards for some of my images, quite a few images have been published over the years in travel brochures, newspaper articles and advertisements. Thank you for your comments, Michaela, this Elephant was resting his tusk right on the ledge of the opening in the hide, close enough to touch. That is the closest I have ever been to one of these gentle giants.....breath-taking!
